• If you don't pay your renewal fee before the expiry date, your patent/utility innovation protection will end.

 

 

• Nevertheless you may still renew up to 6 months after the expiry date together with a surcharge of 100% of fee for the unpaid duration.

 

 

• In the event that renewal fee is still pending, the Patent/ Utility Innovation will be published as lapsed in the gazette.

 

 

   Helpful Hint: anybody who wants to use your invention can legally do so after the            Patent/Utility Innovation has lapsed
